Merry Christmas

Well we have had a very eventful last few weeks!.. more details later but it includes graduation, moving from rexburg to SLC, finding a new apartment, coming up to washington for christmas, and soon we will be leaving to Star Valley and then back to SLC to start a new job at the new year.. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and have a WONDERFUL new year!!!

Alright here is the full story on everything that is happening right now in our lives, you don't have to read it all but it helps me keep track if i write it down here. Jesse graduated with his bachelors degree in Biology on December 12th. We were so excited to have his parents come down and participate in the celebrations with us. We were able to attend a banquet with President Uchdorft which was really neat to be in a setting that wasn't to formal he joked how him and President Erying got the assignments to speak at graduation and he was chosen to come to Rexburg and President Erying got to go to Hawaii... anyways we had a really good time and I'm SOOO PROUD of my husband and all that he has accomplished in his schooling. We were lucky enough to find a job for Jesse right out of school which we are pretty excited about. He has gotten a job at the ARUP laboratories in SLC and starts on Jan.5th. He is going to be working in the area of thrombosis and hemostasis.... yeah stuff that has to do with blood and clotting factors (you'll have to ask him for more details) I'm a little nervous moving down to that area, it wouldn't have been my first choice but it is a great job for him and he gets great benefits soo i'm excited to go to the dentist :o) After Jesse graduated we packed up our house that weekend, loaded our stuff on monday (thank you to all who helped!) and headed to SLC that night in a wonderful snow storm ( took us 5 hours to get there). We spent the next few days trying to find an apartment, got a flat and had to buy 4 new tires, and lots of snow!! Needless to say it wasn't all that thrilling. We are soo glad to have some of our friends moving down there also , they have been a BIG help already! After we found an apartment and moved our stuff in we headed to Washington in yet another snow storm (YEAH!) We have had a great time here with my family! Everyone was able to come home for christmas and yet again we got spoiled by my parents for christmas.. but this year it was above and beyond.. (we got a 46in flat screen TV!) we can hardly belive it ourselves. My brother James just got back from and trip over seas and brought back some really fun things from his trip, we got a Box that is carved out of a solid piece of wood.. it is pretty awesome! Anyways christmas was fun and now things are coming to an end and we are headed next to wyoming and then finally back to SLC to start our new chapter in our lives. Again I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas and enjoy the New Year

Crazy weeks

I'm Very proud of my DAD!!!
Well sorry don't have many pictures to show right now but maybe later I can find a few. We have had some EXTREMLY busy and stressful weeks. First of all on the 14th and 15th of this month we had the privilage of travelling up to spokane washington to watch my dad retire from the millitary. It was a great ceremony and we had a lot of fun being with my family to celebrate all the achievments my dad has accomplished. We are both very proud of him ( expecially me) !!! After we got back from that we had a very stressful week of school. Jesse had about 4 test one right after another and a 10 page research paper.... if that wasn't stressfull enough half way through the week we found out about a job interview that was that next week and I discovered that i had lost my pearls my dad gave to me when he was serving over in Kuwaitt. Through many tears and sleepless nights we made it through the week. We ended up finding my pearls in Jesses church shoes of all places ( a little miracle) and Jesse finished the week with fairly good scores on all of his test. That weekend we had the chance of going up to starvalley to celebrate with Jesses parents on the release of his dad from serving as bishop for the last 6 years. We enjoyed our time there as his mom and dad go through that transistion. The next monday we headed down to Salt Lake City for a job interview at ARUP Labs. We found a hotel hoping to relax for a while but i think we are both tooo nervous to do that. Tuesday we went and i waited for jesse as he interviewed for 3 hours... Now we are just waiting to hear back from them.... ( I HATE waiting) we would really love this job and hope that one of them will come through ( during the three hours he interviewed for 4-5 different jobs). After that we have been staying with jesse's gradparents, had a wonderful visit and thanksgiving with his parents, and are finally back at our own apartment for a recouporating day before we get back to the craziness. Two weeks left of school and still no job offer ( well keep you up dated for what is in store next for us)

Halloween

can you guess who carved what??

So halloween wasn't all that exciting at our house ( I think it is a little kid holiday), Jesse studied all night. We did how ever celebrate by carving pumpkins, and I made sugar cookies for work earlier that week. We did have a fun time doing that, and then the next night we went to a movie which we haven't done in a while. Soo yeah halloween was pretty uneventful, we need some kids to take trick-or-treating....

The Near Future

The end of the semester seems to be creeping up fast (Dec.12) I know it is only Oct. but I have the REALLY bad habit of planning things way far in advance:o) I really should work on that. Anyways because of this bad habit that I have, I have been trying to help Jesse find a job for when he is done in Dec. (he will be graduated). So far we have applied to a job in SLC (which is the one Jesse really wants) and one in Richland (which he would like but not as much). Unfortunantly i think that our adventure to find a job is going to take us out of this area. It kind of makes us sad because this is where our family started and it will feel like we are leaving home. I have a really good job here and have made good friends there. We are really excited for the next chapter in our lives a new job, a new home, a new area, maybe kids, mostly a new adventure. I just hate the waiting part of the last few months.... I wanna know now:o)

Modest attempt at decorating

Well everyone has been talking about decorating there houses for fall time and since fall is my favorite time of the year I really wanted to join in. So thanks to Janene for lending me some fall leaves for a center piece more stuff will be added later to make it look like an actual arrangement. All the pottery is mine thankfully I had and it isn't much but I wanted to show mom what I had done since we were talking about it earlier. So here is my modest attempt at fall in the apartment :o)

Life

Well we haven't been up to much.. just working and school for Jesse. We went out to palidades over the weekend and had a good time. We didn't catch much up there but the trout that we did catch were a crazy green color. I had never seen one like it. I had the fish in my hand about to gut it and Carson (baby) stuck out his finger so I decided to have the fish eat it. He didn't like that very much, he was a little frightened of putting his finger out for the fish again. I tried to get him to touch the fish after that... it took him a little while and he still isn't quite sure about the whole thing.

JESSES BIRTHDAY

So Jesse had his 28th Birthday yesterday on the 10th. We didn't do anything to exciting, he had school all day, but I did the best that I could to make his day special. Why is it when you get older you really don't care very much about your birthday? It use to be one of the most exciting days of the whole year!! Today hopefully we will get a chance to go down to sportsmans and spend his birthday money. Other than that we haven't been up to much, just work and school and trying to figure out what we are going to do after this December when Jesse is done with school.

End of Summer

We are coming to an end with the summer, for me it is already over. Work has started, it is a little slow but hopfully it will pick up. Jesse is done with his bachelors this semester but we don't know what is in store for us next. Since we don't have any children yet I have been thinking about a career change but don't know what to. I just feel like progression has stopped and i'm pretty bored. I'm up for any suggestions.... Anyways here are some pictures from our lastest adventures into Cave Falls.

Fun with family

Well me and Jesse are still toughing it out here in Moscow...we have 10 days left and then we are done and hopefully the stress will be over. We have been blessed with a few things while we have been here and we are really greatful for those things. We were provided with a place to live, we have had to rely completly on eachother, and we have been close to my family in Washington. A few weekends ago we decided to head up to spokane to see mom and dad just for the night and we had a really good time. We went to a military retirement dinner, and then we just took a walk in the park which was really fun! We just talked and walked. We got to a water fountain in down town Spokane and me and Jesse decided to be young and spontainous and run through it in our good clothes... and then Jesse and dad got the bright idea of getting pictures in front of the fountains that made them look like thye were peeing a stream of water. The lady that was sitting beside us knew what they were doing and was laughing her head off. We really did have a good time and we are VERY greatful for parents that support us and are NOT old and boring. They still know how to have fun and always will.

Testimony

Latley I have been listening to confrence talks on my ipod while i'm at work. I have really enjoyed it and have started to think more about my testimony and how I still have room to improve on the feelings that I feel. I just wanted to let my family and everyone else who reads this blog that I do have a testimony. I know that God is our Father and he watches over us and knows each one of us by name. I know that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world and that through him we will be able to gain eternal life. I know what the preisthood is the power of God on earth. I know that through the ordinances that we recive through the priesthood we can live together forever with our families. I know what the scriptures are a source by which we can draw closer to our Heavenly Father and a source of answers for us. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the True church upon the earth today, it is headed and directed by Jesus Christ through the living prophet President Monson. He is the living prophet who recieves revelation for our time. The Savior lives and is on our side if we will let him heal us. I don't know how everything works and i'm still learning alot and continuing to do the best that i can so that one day I will be able to return to my Father in Heaven and live forever with him.

Happy 4th of July

Well we have a month left before we are done here in Moscow, I would like to say that we have enjoyed it but we are still working on that. We did get to take a break and head to Pinedale Wyoming for the 4th of July. It was a long trip but we made it there. We stopped in Rexburg and stayed in our apartment on the way down. We had forgotten how nice of an apartment we have and were grateful that we could sleep in a "real" bed instead of an airmatress. We got to Burnt Lake on July 3rd and had set up camp with the rest of Jesses family who was already there. It was really good to see his family and we appreciate all that they do for us. We had a lot of fun fishing on the lake, the first day that we were out with his grandpa we caught 21 between the four of us in like an hour, ( now that is my kind of fishing). We didn't really catch any of a great size but they were all pretty good. I think that Jesse had a really good time and got the relaxing he needed to get in to finish out his comittment to this internship.

The Bike Cronicles

I really do like my bike but lately it has been giving me some troubles. Like when we went biking at the lake and I was coming down hill and there was mud and a branch in the way... it decided to buck me off and scrap my leg up. Then last Friday I decided that I was going to fix it to come down and see Jesse sooo I was putting on the front wheel and turned it because I need to hear if my Disk Brakes are rubbing. I don't really remember what I did after that but I guess I saw something that needed fixed so reached down to fix it and got toooo close to the dish which caught my finger and chopped of my fingernail, and smashed my finger. As soo as I did it I knew that i needed to go to the ER so since Jesse had the car and I didn't have a way to get to him I found some REALLY NICE people at the park across the street to take me to him. Thank You to who ever they were! At the ER they made sure it wasn't broken and all that fun stuff and basically what I did (my bike did) was fillet my finger nail off half way... it is pretty gross as you can see. It is going to take about 1-2 months to grow back hopefully. Oh and when we got home Jesse decided to experiment with the bike to see how I did it... through an experiment that en voled a carrot he has come to the conclusion that I'm lucky I have a Finger :o)

Adventures in Moscow Idaho

Well we have started getting use to Moscow Idaho, but we do really miss home in Rexburg and can't wait to get back. Jesse has started to settle down at his intership and I finally found a job doing Janitorial work at 4 AM... yes I am Crazy, but it will be good to have a little extra while we are hear and I can take care of things during the day. We have done a little exploring and found a resivor close that we can go fishing. It is a stocked resivor so the fishes are really small, but fun to catch. We went on a drive last weekend to find Laird Park which is a really nice camp ground hopefully we can get out camping here soon. These pictures are of a large Pine tree that was along the scenic route we drove.. (I have seen bigger pine trees). We have just started exploring so I hope there is more to come.

Back together again and on to new adventures

Well Jesse got back from his trip to honduras and it was really good to have him in my arms again. We were really lucky to get to spend a few days in SLC just the two of us. We went to the Zoo and had a nice dinner and walked around temple square and of course went to cabellas :o) we just had a really good time enjoying eachother.

Missing my better half

Well Jesse has been gone for a week now... I miss him like crazy. It always amazes me how much the statement " your better half" means. When Jess is gone i really feel like half of me is gone. We always do everything together, when he is not here i have no one to talk to and i don't feel like i can really talk to anyone but him. He is my Best Friend, the one I tell everything to. I hope he is ok and that he comes home safely. I hope he is blessing the lives of many people in Honduras. I know this has been a great opportunity for him and i'm really glad that he had the chance to go. I miss him VERY much!!! And Love him even more!!!

Misson completed

Well we went and acomplished what we wanted to. We met the professor who was really nice and we check out the town which was not so nice. Moscow is an interesting place, a lot different than i thought it was. I'm really glad that I went to school here because i almost went to moscow. I don't think i would have liked it there very much. It is quite the run down town. We are going there for 10 weeks so hopefully i can find something to do during that time so i'm not bored out of my mind!!!We had a really good time in CDA with my brother and sister in law. Sunday we went for a small walk by the lake, it was chilly but really fun to get out and do that. We are really excited though nervouse to be close to family for the summer.

Update on Internship

So we found out that we are headed to Universiy of Idaho for the summer for Jesse's Internship. It should be a really good exprience for him and we are both really excited and nervous. Now we have to get going on getting housing and i have to find a job for 10 weeks. It is going to be hard but we are excited and it will be closer to my family in washington so we are going to get to see them this summer. I'm excited!

Internship

So Jesse got the internship that we applied for which means that i have to find a new job for 10 weeks while he is doing reasearch. We haven't been told where we are going yet, we will find out out next monday hopefully. I do have to stay here trough May but I will hardly get to see my husband, between him going to Honduras and Him going to do his internship I will get to see him like a week and a half in May. Which really stinks considering we have never been apart for more than like a week at the most since we have been married. Being apart really is NOT FUN. On the other hand i'm really excited for all the oportunities that have opened up for him and I know that he will love doing them.

Wabbit Hunting

So last night I went with Jesse and his buddies Rabbit hunting. A new experience for me anyways, it was interesting to say the least. We didn't get out until about 11 pm and were out until about 2am or so. There were tons out and I was going to shoot one but i chicked out. I guess women have a little different views on taking a little bunnies life. They assured me that they were jack rabbits and they weren't cute at all, but i still didn't want to shoot one myself.

Jesse's favorite picture of me on our wedding day.

Wedding Memories

Just wanted to show you a little bit of our wedding day about 3 years ago. This is me and Jesse and my really good friend Rachel. You can tell how much fun we had together and how much Jesse put up with it :o)

New Blogging

Well I always thought that this blogging stuff was quite silly, but here I am starting my own. I figured it was a good way to let people know what me and Jesse are up to. I do have a strange feeling that most of the stuff that you guys are going to see are pictures of Jesse's fishes :o) So anyways we will see how this goes and hopefully it will let you see what me and Jesse are up to and hopefully it isn't too boring to you.
